Announcing… Zag Studio!
After more than five years working for the WPF and Silverlight teams at Microsoft, I’ve decided to move on and start my own business.
Participating in the creation of WPF and Silverlight was a fantastic experience. I’m proud of the work we’ve done and I’m grateful for all the friends I made in these and related teams. The time is right for me to advance my career to the next level by creating my own company: Zag Studio LLC.
Zag Studio focuses on consulting, development and training for the Silverlight and WPF technologies. I’ve been having a blast helping customers take full advantage of the power of WPF and Silverlight. It’s been especially fun to utilize features that I helped shape to solve complex real-world problems in effective, well-designed, and performant ways. I am looking forward to helping many of you create compelling user interfaces using these technologies. Zag Studio doesn’t yet have a website, but I will announce it here when the time comes.
My career change will not affect the content of my blog in any way. I will continue addressing WPF and Silverlight topics relevant to business applications, since that will continue to be the focus of my work.
Wish me good luck!
Corrado Cavalli

Hi,
I started using WPF but it was the time when Silverlight was coming out as beta 1.0 and if I’m right it was April 2007. Since then I’ve been learning Silverlight all the way until today. I was waiting for that technology since a long time. I love it
Like me, this is something I often thing but I can’t effort right now which is to go travel with just the clothes I have on and a laptop of course
to places where there’s less cars on the road because I hate this stupid machine.
I wish you the best and thank you for your blog which helps understand a little more the whole thing.

A tough decision, I’m sure, but exciting. You have been a great help since the beginning and it was a pleasure talking with you at the Deep Dive in Redmond oh so long ago. I wish you the best with the company and hope the blog continues at its current level of quality and depth. If you’re ever hurting for relevant LOB/WPF topics I’ve got a list I always dream I’ll blog about someday but never do (ex: focus management - esp in a MVVM implementation). Cheers!
